<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> The industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 31/10/2022, wherein, it was decided that Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Fatehgarh Sahib shall revisit the industry within one week to verify the contention of the industry. The proceedings were conveyed to the industry vide Boards letter no. 3036-37 dated 01/11/2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> It is submitted that to check the compliance of the decison of the hearing and during area vigil of Ambey Majra area , the industry was visited by the undersigned today on 6/11/2022 and it was observed the the industry is not in operation</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">. The industry was again visited on 24/11/2022 and contacted Sh. Rakesh Mata, Owner at site. During visit, it was observed that the industry was not in operation. The representative of the industry of the industry informed that due to shortage of scrap, raw material, the industry is not being operated. It was observed as under:</span></p>

The industry has also installed new variable frequency drive for this purpose. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 13.8pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The representative of the industry informed that it shall not use office toilet and shown septic tank made below the labour toilets. He assured that the domestic effluent shall not be disposed out side through tractor/trolley.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> The industry has been visited twice and was found not in operation, but the work undertaken/being undertaken reflects that the contentions made by the industry in the personal hearing are correct. The working of APCD and side hood shall be verified once the industry is put to operation and during visit to the area.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> In view of above mentioned facts and disposal of applications w.r.t. Right to service, the application for grant of short term consent under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be considered. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> Therefore, 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with suitable conditions and following special conditions:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 1.0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -27.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry shall bound to install adequate and appropriate pollution control device/system as per the design of reputed institute for control of secondary emissions generated from furnace unit</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -27.0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry shall operate and maintain its APCD as per SOPs prescribed for such types of units.</span></p>
