The industry has got its EC amended from SEIAA vide letter dated 7/09/2022 for installation of one 39 TPH furnace instead of 3 furnaces of different capacities. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm -3.6pt .0001pt 0cm;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">It is further added here that since Env. Clearance was first granted to the industry in the year 2019, wherein the condition regarding installation of secondary fumes extraction system was not being imposed, but with the current scenario of air pollution in the area as well as time to time discussions held with senior officers, the installation of secondary fumes extraction system for handling such huge quantum of melting scrap (39 tons/ batch or heat) shall be made mandatory for new set-ups.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0cm -3.6pt .0001pt 0cm;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-language: EN-IN; mso-bidi-language: PA;">Therefore, it is recommended that the Consent to establish/ NOC from pollution angle for one year be granted to the industry to install 1 induction furnace of capacity 39 TPH to manufacture of Billet, Steel Ingot & Bloom @ 229 MTD in addition to the production of TMT bars, ERW Pipe, cold roll etc @ 342 MTD, with suitable conditions and following special conditions:</span></p>
