<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the agenda note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the industry was visited by the AEE of Regional Office, SAS Nagar on 20/7/2020 and observed that the untreated trade effluent was being discharged into the sewer without any treatment. The industry did not comply with provisions of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. Therefore, the Directions u/s 33-A of the Water ( Act, 1974, for closure of the unit were issued to the industry vide letter no. 3738 dated 29/9/2020 and PSPCL authorities were directed to disconnect the electric supply available to the industry due to reasons mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The electric connection of the industry was disconnected by PSPCL authorities as per TDCO no. 100011150661 dated 5.10.2020 effected on 7.10.2020.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> It is intimated that the workshop has applied for renewal of CTO under the Water Act, 1974 along with further restoration of the electric connection, the same has been processed.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The workshop has applied for renewal CTO under Air Act, 1981 </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> If approved CTO under the Air Act,1981 may be granted up to 15.02.2023 with the special condition as proposed by EE, RO.</span></p>
