<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under Water act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SGR/2016/4453358 dated 10/10/2016 & the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SGR/2016/4453333 dated 10/10/2016, both valid upto 20/06/2021 for manufacturing of Apple Tray @72,000 no's/day and Egg Tray @ 46,000 no's/day by using waste paper @12,600kg/day as raw material.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1971 & the Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board under green category.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has deposited consents fee of Rs. 18000/- vide R. No. SBIN122187689587 dated 06/07/2022 under the Water Act, 1974 & the Rs. 32400/- vide R. No. SBIN122187691046 dated 06/07/2022 & Rs. 86900/- vide R.No. SBIN522287402455 dated 14/10/2022 under the Air Act, 1981, against the value of gross fixed assets of Rs. 141.65, which is adequate upto 31/12/2028, after deduction of NOC fee of Rs. 2900/- against the change of fixed assets from Rs. 74.41 lacs to Rs. 141.65 lacs. In this regard, the industry has submitted request letter stated that the industry has replaced the old machinery with new machinery, the production capacity has not changed. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is pertinent to mention here that the Board vide Office Order No. 59 dated 02.02.2016 decided to grant auto renewal of Consent to Operate/ Establish to Orange & Green Category of Industries within 7 days of its application submission without the need of visiting the site/ premises of the industry, in order to facilitate the industry. Further, it is intimated that there is no change in the underappreciated value of the fixed assets.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> As per modified directions issued by CPCB u/s 18(1) (b) of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 regarding harmonization of classification of industrial sectors under red, orange, green, white categories vide its letter dated 07.03.2016 along with the "Final documents on revised classification of industrial sectors under red, orange, green & white categories" which also includes the consent period for which the consents are to be granted to red, orange & green category industries for five years, ten years & fifteen years respectively. The Board vide its letter no. 9982-1003 dated 27.03.2018 has requested this office to strictly follow consent validity criteria as mentioned in the modified directions issued by CPCB u/s 18(1) (b) of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">No complaint is pending against the industry. The industry was found complying with consent conditions during last visit and consents were granted thereafter.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Keeping above in view, it is recommended that consent to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted up to 31/12/2028 for manufacturing of apple tray @ 72,000 no./day and egg tray @ 46,000 no./ day by using waste paper @ 12600 kg/day with the usual conditions.</p>
