<p style="text-align: justify;">Show cause notice was issued to the industry with an opportunity to give reply within 3 days. The industry has submitted through OCMMS that they have removed all the discrepancies.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was again visited by AEE of RO on 23.11.2022 and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. The industry has now stored Hazardous waste of 5.1 category in MS drums in HW storage room. The industry provided HW storage room and has stored HW of category 5.1 & 33.1 in storage room. The representative of the industry informed that they will dispose of the HW Category 5.1 to authorized recycler only and will submit agreement in this regard within 01 month.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. The industry has now provided stack of adequate height with DG set of capacity @200KVA along with canopy.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. The representative of the industry informed that they were unaware regarding burning of municipal solid waste and now they have directed all workers of the industry not to burn municipal solid waste in future.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. The representative of the industry informed that the supplier of the ink drums is taking back the old empty drums for refilling. The industry is now storing the HW empty containers in the HW storage room for lifting of the same to the supplier.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. The industry has cleaned its septic tank and domestic effluent from office section as well as from labour quarters is discharged onto land for plantation after treatment in septic tanks.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->6. The industry has developed plantation along the boundary as well as separate plantation area in 08 marlas and condition of plantation is good. The plantation area is adequate for the disposal of the domestic effluent.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As such, the industry is now complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended that the ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2027 with suitable conditions and special conditions that:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. The industry shall make agreement regarding disposal of HW category 5.1.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. The industry shall apply for authorization under the Hazardous and other Wastes (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016 for HW category 5.1 and 33.1 within 03 months.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall not burn municipal solid waste in future, in case the industry found burning the municipal solid waste action u/s 5 of Environment Protection Act, 1986 will be initiated without any notice.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall assure not to stagnate waste water in the plantation area in future.</p>
