It is intimated that the NOC granted to the project namely M/s Silicon Constructions Private Ltd., industry vide no. CTE/Fresh/SAS/2022/18495351 dated 4/7/2022, valid up to 3/7/2022 subject to certain conditions along with following special conditions: 1. The project proponent shall immediately stop further construction in its project, which is part of the environmental clearance granted to it. 2. The project proponent shall get the revision/ issuance of corrigendum to the Environmental Clearance obtained by the project proponent from SEIAA, Punjab, immediately as the change of mode of disposal to sewer and submit the same to the Board. 3. The project proponent shall install and commission an STP of adequate capacity for the present generation of effluent so as to receive, treat, and for scientific disposal of the treated effluent from the premises of this project, within two months. 4. The project proponent shall ensure compliance with provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, and or any other environment law applicable to him and rules, circulars issued by the Board from time to time. 5. In case of any violation action u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 will be initiated for closure of the project proponent without further notice 6. The project proponent may also develop vermicomposting/ composting to manage biodegradable solid waste. PP shall not throw, dump, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises, or in drain/water bodies. 7. The project proponent shall promote the use of alternatives to single-use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage the use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. 8. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single-use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.   Thereafter, the request of the industry was considered by the Board and in this regard, a corrigendum (conditions no. 2 as mentioned above) has been issued by the Board vide its letter no. 6016-17 dated 30/9/2022 with condition that "The project proponent shall not carry out any activity which is covered under the ambit of EIA notification dated 14/9/2006, without obtaining Environmental Clearance under he said notification and prior written permission of the Board". Now, the industry has applied for CTO under the Water Act, of 1974, and R.O has monitored the STP, as per the analysis report same does achieve the prescribed  standard by the Board   In light of the facts reported by R.O, if approved, CTO applied under the Water  Act, 1974 may be granted to the PP upto 30/9/26  as per the policy of the Board <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">with the special condition as proposed by E.E, RO along with the following <span style="background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">additional conditions may also be imposed: <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: 18.4px;">1.                   The project proponent shall not carry out any activity which is covered under the ambit of EIA notification dated 14/9/2006, without obtaining Environmental Clearance under the said notification and prior written permission of the Board".EE,RO may also be requested to monitor the site as per protocol framed by the Board to verify thecompalince with    environmental law and send the report along with recommendation .  <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-indent: -0.5in; line-height: 18.4px;">(Competency – SEE)
