<p>RO has reported that <span lang="EN-US">the unit has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Hallmarking of Gold Ornaments in their analytical lab.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The unit has submitted No Due certificate in regard to property tax branch, water supply and sewerage, which is issued from Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Pathankot vide its letter no, 33 dated 02/02/2022. The unit has submitted a license of Hall Mark from BIS. The CPCB, New Delhi has issued notification in Oct 2020, in which gold assaying and hallmarking centers are covered under Orange Category. The unit has submitted all the requisite documents along with C.A. Certificate showing value of gross fixed assets 6.05 Lacs.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> The industry has deposit Rs. 8800/- vide online UTR No. 540506840 dated 12/04/2022, Rs. 9300/- vide online UTR No. 320261202 dated 12/04/2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 including Rs. 500/- as FDF </span><span lang="EN-US">fee, the validity of fee deposited by the unit is </span><span lang="EN-US">adequate upto 30/09/2025 under both Acts.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">The unit was visited on 24/11/2022 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The unit is a Gold Hallmarking center.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The unit has installed 01 no. small muffle furnace.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3. </span> <span lang="EN-US">As per guidelines made by CPCB the unit has provided water scrubbing system with water circulation pump and same was attached with Hot Plate Chamber and muffle furnace. (Agenda Note is also attached herewith).</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 30/09/2025 with suitable terms and condition along with a special conditions that the unit shall made an agreement with TSDF for disposal of its HW within one month period after grant of Consents.</span></p>

<p>In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the unit for one year i.e. upto 30/09/2023 with suitable terms and condition along with special conditions that:-</p>
<p>1. The unit shall submit the emission analysis report from Board's Lab within 02 months from the issuance of the consent.</p>
<p>2. The unit shall not generate any effluent from its premises.</p>
<p>3. The unit shall submit the Building plan approved by the competent person from the Deputy Director of Factories, Punjab.</p>
<p>4. The unit shall apply for obtaining Authorization under HWM Rules, 2016 as per policy of the Board.</p>
<p>5. The unit shall make agreement with NIMBUA GREENFIELD PUNJAB LIMITED for disposal of hazardous waste category 9.2 (Lead Ash).</p>

<p>6. The unit shall submit complete dimensional drawing along with adequacy certificate of the Wet scrubber installed in the premises.</p>
