API/Intermediate products and 5 no. of bye-products, subject to certain condition as mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">Now, the industry has applied for renewal Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite document.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 0cm 0.2pt 6pt 0cm; text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">As per record file, the previous fee already deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.08.2023 for both the Acts, against the fixed assets of Rs. 14901.08 lakh.</span></p>

Jain Prakash, during visit, </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">it was observed as under:</span></p>

From the said tank the effluent is transferred to equalization tank of MEE through pipeline. The representative of the industry was advised to install flow meter on this line. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has covered the Equalization tank (lagoon) of MEE with tarpauline wherein the effluent (HTDS + LTDS) is stored. In order to contain the odours & VOCs emanating from the collected effluent and installed one chlorine scrubber at one end of the tank for neutralizing the build-up of emissions in the tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="margin: 5.05pt 0cm 6pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">From said tank, effluent is fed to 03 stage MEE of capacity 2.5 liter/ hour for the treatment of both high TDS and low TDS wastewater and the same was in operation during the visit. As per record maintained by the industry, around 20-22 KL of effluent is being fed to MEE per day. During the conduct of visit, samples of MEE condensate </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">were collected and the analysis results obtain from HO Lab are attached.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has installed online continuous effluent monitoring system for various parameters viz–a-viz as pH, TSS, BOD and COD at the pipe line through which condensate of the MEE is reused in the cooling tower, which are further connected with the PPCB & CPCB servers and during visit following readings were observed- BOD- 16.26, COD- 101.06, TSS- 26.667 and pH- 7.016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 21.3pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.3pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry has installed one boiler of stream generation capacity 8 TPH and rice husk is being used as fuel in FBC furnace. The industry has installed multi-cyclone as APCD to contain the concentration of particulate. The spent scrubbing liquid containing NaCl and Na2 SO4 having concentration of 17-18% is sold out to the paper mills as by product. </span></p>

Further, the industry shall stick to the water balance submitted by it.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 42.55pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall submit revised building plans of its existing unit M/s Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. (Pharma Division) before bifurcating its premises for establishment of its proposed unit i.e. M/s Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Ltd. (Unit-II); within one month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 42.55pt; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -21.25pt; line-height: 24px; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style', 'serif';">The industry shall comply with the SOP (standard operating procedure) for recovery of spent solvent (applicable to captive utilization part) issued by the CPCB in Feb, 2021, in true letter & spirit.</span></p>
