<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Mining Officer, Pathankot vide his office letter no. 466 dated 22.04.2022 informed that the auctioned mining sites have been suspended by the Govt. of Punjab, so the stone crusher do not have legal source of raw material. F</span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">urther, an FIR has also been lodged against the stone crusher for indulging in illegal mining. Thereafter, the consent granted under Water Act, 1974 and Air <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Act, 1981 were revoked/cancelled vide no. 1140 dated 25.05.2022 and 1138 dated 25.05.2022 respectively and directions u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of Air Act, 1981 were issued to PSPCL Authorities to disconnect the supply of electricity available in the premises of the industry with immediate effect.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Now, the stone crusher has applied for consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 alongwith restoration of electric connection. The stone crusher was visited by AEE on 14.11.2022 and observed that the stone crusher was not in operation and lying closed to disconnect the electric connection. In compliance of the directions, the PSPCL Authorities disconnect the electric connection available in the industry vide TDCO 100019372308 Dated 28.09.2022. The industry has uploaded copy of Mining Registration, which is valid upto 11.11.2023. Further the industry has submitted copy of letter issued by Distt. Mining Officer Hoshiarpur and SDO Dasuya Drainage Sub Division, as per which the site of stone crusher was visited alongwith Sh. Rishi Aggarwal, Proprietor of stone crusher on 09.11.2022 and 4496 MT of raw material was lying at the site of the industry (copy attached). <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Regional Office Hoshiarpur has approved for grant of consent under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 to the stone crusher for period of 6 months and has process the application for approval of restoration of electric connection for 6 months. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>In view of report of RO, if approved, the electric connection of the stone crusher may be restored temporarily for six months with usual conditions and special condition that the stone crusher shall comply with the complete code of practice before commissioning of the operation of the stone crusher.
