It is submitted that the poultry farm was granted NOC from pollution angle under green category vide no. CTE/Fresh/PTA/2022/18927562 dated 22-06-2022 (expired on 21-06-2023) for keeping 99000 no. birds and utilizing bird feed @ 11 T/day  for the production of eggs @ 90000 no./day under green category.   Now, the industry has applied for partial Consent to Operate under Air Act, 1981  for 17000 Numbers/Day,  Bird Feed @ 2 Metric Tonnes/Day for the production of eggs @ 17000  no./day under green category with requisite documents. The industry has deposited Rs. 22000/- vide Receipt No. 782733889 dated 29.11.2022 on account of consent fee under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 against the fixed assets of Rs. 46.07 lakh as on 17.10.2022 as per latest CA certificate submitted by the industry. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.12.2031 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 . The poultry farm was visited by AEE of this office on 05.11.2022. During visit, it was observed as under:- 1. The poultry farm has constructed one no. sheds for layer birds. 2. The industry shall put approx. 17000 no. of birds in the layer shed 3. The birds droppings will be collected be collected below and same will be used by farmers as manure in their fields 4. The industry is in a process of constructing pucca pit for the dead birds. The industry was also advised to make agreement with CBWTF for incineration of the dead birds. 5. No problem of flies or odour was observed during the visit.   6. The industry is complying with the conditions of the NOC granted to it as well as the code of practice prescribed by the Board . 7.  The industry has provided ventilation of free flow air or manure collection points to keep it dry.  8. The industry has make arrangement to protect manure from surface run off water and unwanted pests / insects.  9.  The industry has made arrangement to store manure below the sheds, which is having well design storage facility and poultry has ensured to collect carcasses of dead birds as per Environmental Guidelines.Thus, the industry is complying with the Environmental Guidelines issued by the CPCB.    Keeping in view of above, it is therefore, recommended that consent to operate under the Air Act,1981 for the production of eggs @ 17000  no./day under green category may be granted to the poultry farm upto 31.12.2031 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board and special conditions as under:- 1.       The poultry farm shall not increase its bird capacity without obtaining prior NOC/ varied consent to operate from the Board as well as without providing adequate pollution control measures. 2.       The industry shall strictly comply with the  latest environmental guidelines for poultry farm issued by CPCB . 3.        The industry shall ensure that there is no public nuisance polluted in the area due to activities within its premises.. <span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">4.<span style="font-size: 7.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">       <span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: #5d5d5d; background: white; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">The industry shall comply with the guidelines of the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA).
