Both boilers 4 T/hr and 3 T/hr have a common stack.

The industry has installed 3 incinerators, out of which incinerator no. I & II are attached with a common stack and incinerator no. III (standby) & boiler of capacity 1.5 TPH are attached with a common stack. the industry is not operating its incinerators, so boiler 1.5 TPH is stand by. The industry does use furnace oil in operational boilers (4500 liter/day as per the attached submitted by the industry).

Now, the industry has proposed 6 TPH boiler briquettes @ 11700 Kg/day will be used as fuel, and it has also proposed existing 4 TPH boilers (standby) will be changed as fuel from FO to PNG.

As above, the industry will be increased the quantity of liquid fuel from furnace oil @ 4500 Litre/day to solid fuel @ 11700 Kg/day.

It is pertinent to mention here that solid fuel is more polluted as compared to liquid fuel. At this stage, the industry will be increased its air pollution load so as to the industry will be required to obtain the revised environmental clearance.

If approved, SCN for expansion may be issued to the industry along with an opportunity to submit a reply within 7 days and R.O. may also be requested to give his comment upon the reply to be submitted by the industry, and clear cut recommendation.

(Competency-Chairman Sir)
