SBIN318038506749 dated 07/02/2018, Rs. 7,91,167/- vide UTR No. SBINR5219020400075894 dated 04.02.2019 under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 1410500/- vide UTR No. SBINH02009064571 dated 20/01/2015, Rs 6,27,167/- vide UTR No. SBINR52016051829918138 dated 18/05/2016, Rs. 7,83,833 vide UTR no. SBIN318038493523 dated 07/02/2018, Rs. 7,91,167/- vide UTR No. SBINR5219020400076824 dated 04.02.2019. The total consent fee was adequate upto 28.02.2022 under both the Acts. The industry was deposited Rs. 564000/- vide UTR No. SBINR52021091542261616 dated 15.09.2021 under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 564000/- vide UTR No. SBINR52021091542254100 dated 15.09.2021 under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. NOC regularization fee amounting Rs. 63600/- against increase in assets adjusted from Water Act, 1974 fee submitted by the industry. The consent fee deposited by the industry under Water Act, 1974 is adequate upto 20.01.2023 and under Air Act, 1981 is valid upto 28.02.2023. Now, the industry has deposited Rs. 940000/- vide UTR No. SBINR52022032173482103 dated 21.03.2022 (Rs. 470000/- under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 470000/- under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981). The consent fee deposited by the industry under Water Act, 1974 is adequate upto 20.11.2023 and under Air Act, 1981 is valid upto 31.12.2023 against the total fixed assets of the industry Rs. 96816.73 lacs. Now the industry has deposited Rs. 564000/- vide UTR No. SBINR52022060687611617 dated 06.06.2022 under Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 564000/- vide UTR No. SBINR52022060687610610 dated 06.06.2022 under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The total fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.12.2024 under Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and under Water Act, 1974 is adequate upto 20.11.2024 against total fixed assets Rs. 103928.6 lacs.</span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.55pt 0in 0.0001pt; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The industry has submitted compliance report of the previous granted consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 8.55pt 0in 0.0001pt; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The site of the industry was visited by Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar personally alongwith AEE of this office on 30.11.2022. During the visit, it was observed as under:</span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 150%; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The industry was in operation during the visit.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Both boiler (i.e. 40 TPH each) in operation alongwith APCD installed. Stacks of the same were found almost clear. Air/ stack emission samples could not be collected due to non-availability of official of air lab.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>1.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">Newly installed ETP as well as MEE was in operation.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>2.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">RO permeate is being partially used for cooling tower &amp; partially onto land for plantation within its premises. The industry has provide OCEMS with RO permeate and reading of the same noted as COD-48.40 mg/l, BOD-13.55 mg/l &amp; TSS-24.84 mg/l. During the visit, effluent samples were collected of the RO permeate and piezo-meters (02 no.) installed in the premises. Effluent samples sent to Head Office laboratory, Patiala for analysis. Report of the same are awaited.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>3.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The industry was advised to provide colour coding on all pipelines and dismantle the discarded pipelines leading to dedicated storage tanks constructed for storage of HTDS and LTDS effluent of Unit-1.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>4.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The flow meter installed at the High COD effluent pump / MEE feed was found working. The industry has started maintaining the record regarding the same.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>5.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The low COD as well as high COD storage tanks constructed in Unit-2 for the storage of effluent of Unit-1 was found filled upto brim level and the industry was advised to immediately treat the effluent of the same so as to avoid any spillage of the same.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>6.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The industry has removed flexible pipes &amp; motor which were earlier provided in the plantation area taken on lease. The plantation area which is taken on lease, where the industry was earlier discharging effluent was found almost dry.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>7.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The industry at present is disposing off fly ash generated from its boiler section through private contractor outside its premises. The representative of the industry informed that the land measuring almost 105 acres located at Village Nimbua has been sold out and they are no more owner of that site. The industry was advised to maintain proper record regarding generation and disposal of fly ash.</span></span></p> <p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0in -0.5pt 0.0001pt 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span>8.<span style="font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></span></span><span style="line-height: 150%;">The industry has laid the dedicated pipeline leading to the drain passing through the ash yard area for channelization of storm water.
