<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the agenda note and recommendation given by RO. It is intimated that the competent authority of the Board was issued directions u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 for disconnection of the electricity vide letter no. 4479 dated 11.10.202 as the unit was manufactured of plastic material (bags) from reused plastic dana. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now, the industry has applied CTO under Water Act, 1974 for the manufacturing of Plastic Packaging Material @ 800 Kgs/day as products, the date of commissioning is 24/8/2001 as per the electric bill, and the unit is being operated for the last 21 years without having valid ‘consent to operate of the Board. Now, the industry has applied ‘consent to operate under the VDS scheme issued by the Board vide OM dated 21.11.2022. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> RO has reported that the site is suitable for such type of unit, t</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">he unit was not in operation, and t</span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">he industry has installed blower machines and 04 cutting machines on its premises.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> The industry has submitted an undertaking in this regard with its online application form, which is reproduced as under:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">“This is to make in the knowledge of your department that we will not make any carry bags in our unit which has its registered office at Block-A, Village Saidpura, Barwala Road, Derabassi, Mohali on the name of Shiv Polymers (Prop. Manju Lamba)”</span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">In view of the above undertaking the industry may be considered </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">if approved fresh CTO under the Water Act,1974 may be granted for six months with the special condition as proposed by EE, RO. EE, RO may also be requested to visit the site as per protocol fixed by the Board for restoration of the electric connection of the industry.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">B) PSPCL may be directed to temporarily release the electric connection available to the industry for six months.</span></p>
