<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">It is submitted that earlier the industry was granted renewal of CTOs under The Water (Prevention & Control Of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control Of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry for six months i.e. upto 10/10/2022 subject to the following conditions:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">a. The industry shall install & commission 4 no. ambient air quality monitoring system within 3 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">b. The industry shall upgrade its APCD provided with 3 no. induction furnaces of capacity 15 TPH each as per design given by PSCST, Chandigarh and submit adequacy certificate from council within 3 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">c. The industry shall complete the corporate Environment Responsibilities activities mentioned in the Environmental Clearance with 3 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of CTOs and Regional Office has recommended for grant of CTOs upto </span><span lang="EN-IN" style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">30/09/2023 subject to certain conditions as mentioned in the note of AEE. But, the Regional Office has not reported whether the industry has upgraded its APCD </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">provided with 3 no. induction furnaces of capacity 15 TPH each as per design given by PSCST, Chandigarh and has also not reported about submission of adequacy certificate. Also, i</span><span lang="EN-IN" style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">n compliance to EC condition, the industry has developed pocket of land under plantations in front of the unit, along boundary wall inside the unit, in about 2.3 Acre of land in the separate plot/ land at about 1 km and is in the process of developing land under plantation in the adjoining plot as per EC condition. The representative of the industry informed that the complete plantation area shall be developed within 2 month time.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">If approved, the case be return to Regional Office with request to clarify the aforesaid observations immediately. Also, it may be clarified whether the industry needs to amend the conditions of EC from the Competent Authority regarding change of green belt area, please.</span></p>
