File Note: <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The kiln was earlier granted consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/LDH4/2021/15924736 issued on 26-08-2021 which was valid upto 30-09-2022 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks &amp; tiles @ 35,000 nos./day, <span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 107%;">subject to the conditions mentioned therein.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Now the Brick kiln has applied for consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for operation of brick kiln with Zig-zag technology to manufacture bricks &amp; tiles @ 35,000 nos./day. The kiln has deposited consent fees of Rs. 15000/- through online vide R.no. 801047958 dated 05-11-2022, Rs. 9500/- through online vide R.no. 32884277 dated 05-11-2022 and Rs. 11000/- through online vide R. No. 422513378 dated 24-11-2022 under Water Act, 1974 against the fixed asset of Rs. 46.68 lac as per the C.A. certificate, which is adequate up to&nbsp; 30.11.2026.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Brick kiln was visited by the officer of this office on 06-12-2022 and it was observed as under:-</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">and it was observed as under:</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">1. The kiln was not in operation during visit due to off season.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">2. The kiln has converted its kiln to zig-zag technology as per design of CBRI. The CBRI has issued completion certificate dated 02.03.2021.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">3. The kiln has provided a ladder and a platform with the stack for collection of emission sample.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">4. The kiln has stabilized the periphery road / movement area.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">5. The kiln has provided adequate plantation all along its boundary.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">6. No unauthorized fuel was observed to be stored in brick kiln. The representative of the brick kiln was also guided to not use of unauthorized fuel.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the brick kiln for production of bricks &amp; tiles @ 35,000 number/day under orange category for a period up to 30.09.2026, subject to the suitable conditions along with the following specific conditions:-</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The brick kiln shall not use/stored any unauthorized fuel at the kiln site.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Brick Kiln may also develop the vermicomposting/composting to manage the biodegradable solid waste. PP shall not throw, burn or bury any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain/water bodies.</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Brick kiln shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. (See attached banner)</p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Brick kiln shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocol or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span></p> <p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The Brick kiln shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated &amp; disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.</p>
