<p style="text-align: justify;">The matter discussed in detail. The industry has not complied with the observations made by the TIET, Patiala while carrying out the audit w.r.t air pollution and its control measures. The TIET has pointed as under:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1) <!--[endif]-->The industry has not provided additional condenser, wherever, needed to enhance the recovery of the solvent.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2) <!--[endif]-->To minimize the use of drums to storage of raw material.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is pertinent to mention here that persistent complaints w.r.t smell on the Jharmal choe being received from the local residents. This industry is located on the bank of the Jharmal choe. The industry from the past years has not carried any sutiable measures to curb the air pollution (odour covered under the purview of air pollution). The industry even has not complied with the suggestion given by TIET, Patiala while carrying out the audit w.r.t air pollution till date.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above mentioned facts, SCN for renewal of CTO applied under the Air Act, 1974 may be issued alongwith an opportunity to personal hearing before the Chairman of the Board.</p>
