<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;">It is intimated that the above project proponent was given personal hearing before the worthy Chairman of the Board on 30.08.2022, wherein, it was decided as under:</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 27.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><em><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></em></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><em>On the basis of best assessment and judgement, an environmental compensation of Rs.1.0 Lakh is imposed to the project proponent. The project proponent shall deposit Rs. 1.0 Lakh as environmental compensation within one week in the office of Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar.</em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 27.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><em><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></em></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><em>The project proponent shall apply for consent to establish (NOC) alongwith adequate proposal for scientific disposal of the treated effluent from the premises of this project and also apply for consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 within one week.</em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 27.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><strong><em><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span></em></strong><!--[endif]--><strong><em>The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the project site and submit his report/recommendations, verify the statements made by the project proponent during the hearing and process the consent to establish (NOC)/ consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 applications of the project proponent to be applied by it.</em></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">However, the project proponent needs to obtain consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 incompliance to the decision no. 4 of the personal hearing given before the worthy Chairman of the Board. The project proponent has applied for fresh consent to operate under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The project proponent is establishing / partially established and commissioned without obtaining CTE/ CTO of the Board. As such, the application be returned back being incomplete.</p> |
