<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The industry is a small scale unit engaged in the production of sweets, dairy products etc. the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> The industry was visited by the AEE on 23.11.2022 and reported that the industry has installed ETP for the treatment of effluent generated from the process and washing of the pans.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The ETP consists of Oil & Grease trap, equalization tank , dozing tank, aeration tank, tube settler, filter. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The treated effluent of the ETP is discharged into PSIEC sewer and the domestic effluent is also discharged directly into sewer. <span style="text-align: justify;">However no effluent samples have been collected by RO as per agenda note.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"> If approved RO may be asked to visit the industry, collect effluent samples of ETP, check record regarding operation of ETP and submit report within 3 days to decide the consent application.</p>
