<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;">Earlier, the Consent to Operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 was granted to the industry vide dated 29/04/2019 which are valid upto 31/12/2022 subject to suitable conditions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents and fees. The fee submitted by the industry is adequate upto 31/03/2027 by adjusting the previous fee/NOC fee etc.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 18.11.2022 and it was observed that the industry was in operation during the visit. The industry has installed machinery for the spinning of yarn. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 160 KVA with canopy & stack height. There is no source of trade effluent & only domestic effluent is generated from the industry. The industry has not made any provisions for the treatment/disposal of domestic effluent generated from the labour quarter/industry and it appears that the same is disposed off outside the industry by alternative means.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 70.9pt; text-align: justify;">In view of the above, if approved:-</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>Renewal of Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31/12/2026 subject to suitable conditions.</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span>Show-cause notice may be issued to the industry for refusal of Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with the opportunity for a personal hearing, please.</p>
