<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The University was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18164803 & CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18164822 dated 16.05.2022 each, both valid upto 31.03.2023. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 72.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the University h<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>as applied for renewal of ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS. The University has deposited Rs. 1,44,000/- vide UTR No. N319222207291923 dated 15.11.2022 under the Water Act, 1974<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>& Rs. 1,44,000/- vide UTR No. N319222207278514 dated 15.11.2022 under the Air Act, 1981, which are adequate for period upto 31.03.2024 under both acts for the value of gross fixed assets 17531.78 Lac.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 72.0pt;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The University was visited by AEE of this office on 09<span style="color: red;">.</span>12.2022 and it was observed as under:</span></p>

The University has 2 student hostels and quarters for faculty. At present 850 International students and around 90 staff member are residing in the same.</span></p>

The STP consists of collection tank, screen chamber, aeration tank, clarifier, carbon filters & sand filters, pre-filtration & final outlet. All mechanical components of STP were in line and in operational condition. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -36.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Effluent samples from outlet to STP were collected on 07.04.2022 & as per analysis report concentration of various parameters except bioassay were found within the prescribed limits of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 54.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -36.0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The University has developed plantation in two parks of 2 acres each and one playground of 7 acres and agriculture farm of around 5 acres for the disposal of the treated effluent. The University has provided plantation along roads and along boundary wall also. Plantation provided by the University is adequate for disposal of treated trade effluent. Condition of plantation is good.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: red;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 2;"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The University is mainly complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. <span style="color: red;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span></span></p>
