<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">It is intimated that the industry was granted ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/12937136 </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">dated 08.03.2021 valid upto 07.03.2022 for packaging of fresh vegetables @ 26 TPD alongwith discharge of domestic effluent only @ 12 KLD in the name and style of “M/s </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Fieldfresh Foods Private Limited, Ladhowal, Ludhiana” </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">subject to conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">Thereafter, the industry applied for renewal of CTO under the new name on 23.02.2022, however case was returned as the industry was required to apply for Varied CTO of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">Now, the industry has applied for Varied ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water Act, 1974 through OCMMS in the new name and style of “</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">M/s Del Monte Foods Private Limited, Ladhowal, Ludhiana”</span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">. The industry has already deposited the consent fee of Rs. 2,80,000/- vide UTR No. N211190887630190/- dated 30.07.2019 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 which is adequate for period upto 30.06.2024 under said act after deducting penalty. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 72.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 09.12.2022 and it was observed as under: </span></p>

As per record maintained by the industry it has operated only for packing of baby corns & green chillies since last three years. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry has installed STP for the treatment of domestic effluent generated from its premises and treated domestic effluent was being discharged onto land for plantation. </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">Effluent samples were collected by the officer of this office on 27.08.2020 from the outlet to STP and as per analysis report, the pH=7.2, TSS(mg/)= BDL, TDS(mg/l) =389, COD (mg/l) = 20, BOD (mg/l) <5 and oil & grease (mg/l) = BDL. Thus, as per analysis report, the concentration of various parameters is within the prescribed limits of the Board. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry has installed mechanical flow meter at outlet to STP and has also installed separate energy meter with STP. The industry is properly maintaining the record regarding operation of STP. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -18.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">6.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">The industry has constructed 02 no pits of size 30 ft x 15 ft x 07 ft each for handling/ processing of bio-degradable agro waste generated by it. Processed waste residue is used as manure in fields by the industry. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 3.0cm; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">Thus, the industry is complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: 3.0cm; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the ‘Consent to Operate’ under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be granted up to 30.06.2024 to the industry in the new name and style of “</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">M/s Del Monte Foods Private Limited, Ladhowal, Ludhiana”</span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;"> </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-IN;">with suitable conditions. </span></p> |
