<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 23.8pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The industry was given personal hearing before Senior Environmental Engineer on 01.08.2022 and during hearing it was decided that:-</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 23.8pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>“Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-1, Jalandhar shall re-visit the industry within 03-days to verify the contentions of the industry & process the consent application on merit.”</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 23.8pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Thereafter, the industry was visited by officer of this office surprisingly on 23.09.2022 to check the manufacturing of plastic carry bags. During visit, no manufacturing of plastic carry bags was observed.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin-right: 23.8pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>(Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS under orange category. The industry has deposited Rs. 26300/-<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>(Including Rs. 1800/- as NOC fee and Rs. 500/- as application form fee) Vide UTR/No. N206222050063097 dated 25.07.2022 under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 24000/- Vide UTR/No. N206222050053063 dated 25.07.2022 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 30.6pt; line-height: 115%; margin: .05pt 23.75pt .0001pt 16.25pt;">The industry was again visited by AEE of this office on 20.10.2022 and it was observed that the industry was in operation at the time of visit and is engaged in manufacturing of industrial packaging bags by using virgin granules (LDPE) as raw material. The industry has installed 02 nos. extruders tubular machines and 2 nos. cuttings/sealing machines. The industry has also installed 2 nos. printing machines. The industry has not installed any D.G set inside its premises. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Only domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer. The industry has submitted building plan approved from competent person under Factory Act, Punjab.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText" style="text-indent: 30.6pt; line-height: 115%; margin: .05pt 23.75pt .0001pt 16.25pt;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under<span style="letter-spacing: .05pt;"> </span>Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board.
