The samples were collected by the officers of the Board during the visit and as per analysis report, the concentration of TSS = 2640 mg/l, TDS=19509 mg/l, Iron=169 mg/l, Chloride=7600 mg/l was found beyond the permissible limits.<span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -9.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; color: black;">Accordingly, consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 revoked and directions u/s 33-A of the Water Act, 1974 were issued for closure of unit Also, PSPCL authorities were directed to disconnect the electric connection of the industry vide Board’s letter no. 3112-13 dated 20.07.2022. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -9.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Thereafter, the industry had applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 with a request to release the electric connection. The industry has submitted a written representation before Hon’ble Chairman of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -9.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The representation of the industry was considered and after verification carried out on 03.08.2022, the industry was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 for six months valid upto 04.02.2023. Also electric connection of the industry was restored temporarily upto 04.02.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .25in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -9.0pt; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo3;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol; color: black;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; color: black;">In addition, the Environmental Compensation of Rs. 10.00 Lacs and Bank Guarantee of Rs. 50.00 Lacs were also imposed to the industry. Further, the industry was also directed to carry out Environment Improvement Programme equivalent to Rs. 10.00 lakhs in & around the industry, within 6 months. </span></p>

A Bank Guarantee amounting to Rs. 50.00 Lacs is also submitted as an assurance to comply with the environmental laws. The industry has also submitted Environment Improvement Programme and has started working on it..</span></p>

The industry generates spent HCL during pickling process and rinsing effluent during washing after pickling with HCL. </span></p>

This ETP is based on physic- chemical followed by ZLD process and comprises of collection tank, dosing with lime, tube settlers 4 nos. in parallel, collection tank with aeration, clarifier, ultra filtration, Reverse osmosis plant, multi effect evaporator and agitated thin film dryer (ATFD). </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 1.0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Bookman Old Style';"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has installed the other ETP of capacity 10 KLD for treatment of wastewater from spent hydraulic chloric acid (HCL) which comprises of collection tank, mixing with caustic and lime, tube settler, collection tank with aeration and then sent to the multi effect evaporator (MEE) and then further sent to ATFD.</span></p>
