<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a medium scale orange category induction furnace unit and was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/FGS/2019/9635883 dated 07/05/2019 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/FGS/2019/9635901, both valid upto 31/03/2023 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: .5in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: red;"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Thereafter, the industry was granted NOC modernization for installation of 1 no. Holding induction furnace of capacity 30 Ton in the existing premises without increase in the production capacity vide no. CTE/Mod/FGS/2018/6826876 dated 8/01/2018 valid upto 07.01.2019 , further extended upto 06.01.2021, which was lastly extended upto 06/01/2023 with suitable conditions. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 along with requisite documents and fee. The industry as per application has installed 1 Holding induction furnace of capacity 25 Ton in the existing premises and the production details are the same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"> The last consent fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 30/09/2023 ( Fee slab 15-20 cr). The industry has deposited of Rs. 120000/- vide UTR. No. N304222185024922 dated 31/10/2022 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 120000/- vide UTR no. N304222184999818 dated 31/10/2022 under the Air Act, 1981 against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. <span style="color: #0d0d0d; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-themetint: 242; mso-style-textfill-fill-color: #0D0D0D; mso-style-textfill-fill-themecolor: text1; mso-style-textfill-fill-alpha: 100.0%; mso-style-textfill-fill-colortransforms: 'lumm=95000 lumo=5000';">19.24</span> crore as on 31/03/2022 CA Certificate dated 12/10/2022, which is adequate upto 30/09/2028 under the said acts, separately.<strong> </strong></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted stack emission sample report carried out by the Board on 04/03/2022. As per the analysis report, the concentration of SPM is 76 mg/Nm3, which is within prescribed limits. The industry has submitted domestic effluent analysis report carried out by Noida Testing Laboratory (NABL Approved) on 05/08/2022 and the analysis report reveals that the concentration of the various parameter are within permissible limits for such discharge onto land for plantation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has got its building plan re-approved by Sh. Hanish Gupta, Competent person under Factories Act, 1948 on 02/05/2022. The industry has submitted production details verified by CA as per which the total production has not exceeded 30000 TPA in the last two financial years .</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">To verify the contents of the application, the industry was visited by Environmental Engineer and AEE of this office on 08/12/2022 and contacted Sh. </span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: #0d0d0d; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-themetint: 242; mso-style-textfill-fill-color: #0D0D0D; mso-style-textfill-fill-themecolor: text1; mso-style-textfill-fill-alpha: 100.0%; mso-style-textfill-fill-colortransforms: 'lumm=95000 lumo=5000';">Manu Bansal Director</span><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; color: red;"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">at site. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>

The furnace were in operations.</span></p>

The industry has already obtained completion certificate from PSCST, Chandigarh vide no. 1166 dated 5/03/2019. No emissions were observed from the holding furnace as it was capped from above. </span></p>

Also casting, drilling machines etc have been installed.</span></p>

DG set of capacity 125 KVA, which is equipped with canopy and stack of adequate height. </span></p>

The industry has made arrangement to re-circulate the entire cooling water. </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">In view of above mentioned facts, if approved, Senior Environmental Engineer Zonal Office – II, Patiala may be recommended that varied consent to operate may be granted to the industry under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 30/09/2028 to manufacture</span> <span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Steel Ingots/Castings/Metal Rolls @ 96 MTD with suitable conditions and following special conditions.</span></p>
