<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;">It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit engaged in manufacturing hand tools & auto parts. Earlier the industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. R16JALCTOW3750215 Dated 16.05.2016 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 Vide No. R16JALCTOA3750174 Dated 16.05.2016 which were valid upto 04.02.2021.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal consent under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board. The industry has deposited consent fees which is adequate upto 30.09.2026.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"> As per circular issued by the Board and as per decision of officer meeting held at Head Office Patiala on 08.05.2018 that the industries under orange category are to be granted consent for 5 years without inspection on the basis of the application received through OCMMS.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;"> </span></strong><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;">The industry has not been visited and on the basis of documents submitted by the industry along with application, it has been observed that the industry is an orange category induction furnace unit and has installed 01 no. induction furnace with bag filter as APCD. The industry has also installed 1 no. shot blasting machine with in-built bag house as APCD and stack of adequate height. There is no source of trade effluent and the domestic effluent is discharged onto land for plantation. The industry has submitted compliance report to the consent conditions earlier granted to it. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;"> Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that renewal consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 with suitable conditions and additional condition that the industry will submit air emission sample results from Board lab within one month.
