<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">Earlier, the Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was granted to the industry which are valid upto 30/09/2022 subject to suitable conditions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">The applicant has applied for renewal of Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with requisite documents and fees. The application of the industry was scrutinized and returned due to following reasons: -</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><!--[endif]-->The applicant has applied for varied Consent to Operate but the production is the same as the previous consent.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span><!--[endif]-->There is a difference of 96 lacs in fixed assets from previous consents. The details of the same are not submitted.</p>

The applicant is requested to clarify the above so that further action in the matter may be taken.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">The industry was visited by undersigned on 09/11/2022 to collect the air emissions samples and effluent samples and it was observed as under:-</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry was in operation during visit.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has installed ETP for treatment of effluent generated from vessel washing & floor washing. The same was found not in operation during visit.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The aeration was also not in operation in Aeration tanks and no record regarding consumption/treated water was being produced during visit.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->One moveable tanker was found inside the unit, the collection tank of the untreated effluent was found connected with this moveable tanker. The tanker was found empty during visit.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The representative present at site could not justify the reason of the tanker but it appears that untreated effluent is moved to some other place with help of tankers</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The weeds were grown in the plantation area and it doesn’t appear to be used by the industry for treated effluent.</p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has not attached water meter at fresh water source in compliance to the consent conditions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">It is further added that the movable tankers were also observed earlier inside industry on 17/08/2020 and then it was informed that industry is disposing the same their farms near doraha.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">As the industry is violating the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, show cause notice has been issued to industry for above said violations along with opportunity of personal hearing which is scheduled to be held on 19/12/2022.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has again applied for Consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with requisite documents and fees.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;">The industry has submitted the details of machinery increased by the industry in previous year which includes Boiler, Sealing Machine, Automatic Filling machine, Ketchup machine etc. The industry has applied for Consent for operation of Boiler @ 2 TPH. The wood fired boiler was having Cyclone as APCD and attached to Stack of adequate height as observed during visit.</p>
