The industry has applied CTO under the Water Act, of 1974 and RO has reported that the industry was not in operation it has guide guided to industry to provide adequate arrangements for the treatment and disposal of domestic effluent, at present, the industry is discharging the same in the pit, The industry is partially complying with the code of practice framed for such type of units.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">in light of facts, if may approve CTO under the Water Act,1974 may be granted for six months with the special condition that the industry shall provide a septic tank immediately and the entire domestic effluent will be used by the industry on to land for plantation after treatment through the septic tank.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The industry shall comply with the guidelines of the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA) for the abstraction of groundwater.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">EE, RO may also be requested to keep a vigil on the hot mix plant to not operate without complying with the code of practice framed by the Board for the Hot mix plant as well as without providing the septic tank.</span></p>
