SEIAA/MS/2021/4083 dated 11/05/2021 by the SEIAA, Punjab for Environmental Clearance for enhancement in the manufacturing capacity of API\ Intermediates from its existing capacity of 405.2 TPA to 621.6 TPA after introducing new products and increasing production of existing products, at its existing manufacturing unit located at Barwala Road, Village Bhagwanpur, Tehsil- DeraBassi, District- SAS Nagar, Punjab the said Environment Clearance was granted to the industry for production of 45 no. of products. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter, the industry was granted ‘Consent to Establish’ for expansion of the unit under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/SAS/2022/18050456 dated 01.05.2022, <strong>valid till 31.12.2022</strong> for manufacturing of Acomprosate Calcium @19.00MT/Year, Atorvastatin Calcium @112.00MT/Year, Clarithromycin Coated Granules @99.00MT/Year, Clarithromycin Citrate @8.21MT/Year, Clarithromycin EP @73.00MT/Year, Clarithromycin Normal @57.00MT/Year, Donepezil @1.25MT/Year, Ezetimibe Crude @1.00MT/Year, Ezetimibe @10.8MT/Year, Fexofinadine (FHL Route) @30.00MT/Year, Fexofinadine Hydrochloride @108.00MT/Year, Fexofinadine - X @10.00MT/Year, Ivabradine @1.00MT/Year, Ivabradine Oxalate @0.70MT/Year, Letrozole @0.20MT/Year, Lisdexamphetamine Dimesylate @10.00MT/Year, Nateglinide @6.00MT/Year, Temozolamide @0.10MT/Year and API & Intermediate as single category @69.89MT/Year subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">In the meanwhile, the industry was granted amended Environment Clearance under EIA notification dated 14.09.2006, vide no. SEIAA/MS/2022/5051 dated 09/02/2022 by the SEIAA, Punjab for the ‘API and intermediates’ as single category instead of individual <span style="mso-font-width: 90%;">products</span> in order to provide flexibility to the industry to change the raw material mix and/or product mix within the sanctioned pollution load. Further, it has been mentioned in said Environmental Clearance that earlier Environment Clearance was granted to the industry for the production capacity of 621.6 TPA instead of 622.52 TPA due to an error of totaling of all the quantities of the products to be manufactured. Accordingly, the said amended Environment Clearance has been granted to the industry for 18 products and API and intermediates’ as single category @ 75.3 TPD as 19th product. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter, the industry had obtained ‘consent to establish’ (NOC) for expansion of the unit, as per the revised EC,</span> vide no. CTE/Exp/SAS/2022/19699063 dated 14/10/2022 which is valid upto 23/08/2024<span style="mso-bidi-language: PA; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of partial Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is valid upto 31.12.2024, along with requisite document. <span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As per record file, the previous fee already deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.03.2024. Now, the industry has further deposited Rs. 564500/- UTR R. no. IBKL221125324748 dated 25.11.2022 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 600500/- vide R. no. IBKL221125323337 dated 25.11.2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.03.2025 (considering Rs.36000/- as NOC regularization fee for increase in assets @ 11.87 cr.) for both the Acts against the fixed assets of Rs. 574.52 lakh on 30.09.2022.</span></p>

The HTDS stream is being generated mainly from process of bulk drug manufacturing, RO reject, aqueous utility (softener regeneration), etc. LTDS stream is being generated from floor washing, equipment washing, some processes etc. The HTDS stream is being treated with MEE (Multi Effect Evaporator) and MVR.</p>

ATFD (Agitated thin film drier) of capacity 1200 ltr/hr & 800 ltr/hr with the MEE plant. The MEE concentrate is further dried through ATFD and sent to TSDF, Nimbuan. The MEE condensate is being utilized into cooling tower.</p>

The domestic effluent is collected in collection tank and is passed through anoxic treatment. Thereafter, domestic effluent is being taken into aeration tank of ETP. The ETP installed by the industry is based on physico-chemical treatment followed by the biological treatment system for treatment of LTDS, consisting of Oil & Grease Trap (03 no. chambers), collection cum equalization tank (02 nos. compartments), Flash Mixer, Flocculator, Primary Tube Settler, Pre Treated Collection Tank, Stripper, Bio tower, Anaerobic Tanks (01 Nos.), Aeration tank-I, Secondary Tube Settler, Aeration Tank-II with tube settler, Flash mixer, Flocculator, Tertiary Tube Settler, Treated Water Tank, Sand Filter, R.O Feed Tank, Sand Filter and R.O system. The treated effluent of ETP is being processed thorough RO plant. The RO permeate is being sent to raw water tank, from where the same is used as boiler feed in power plant. RO reject is sent to the MVR for further treatment.</p>

The boiler of 37 TPH capacity is pet coke fired and the industry has installed a co-generation power plant of capacity 4.8 MW with this boiler, which is equipped with ESP followed by alkali scrubber and is also having online SO<sub>2</sub> meter installed at the stack.</p>

CTOA/Varied/SAS/2022/18050456 dated 01.05.2022, both of which are valid upto 31.12.2022.</span></p>
