<h1 style="margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 1; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: normal; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">It is intimated that the industry is small scale orange category unit. The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The industry has deposited Rs. 17400/- Vide UTR no. N040211400957420 dated 09.02.202, Rs. 11400/- vide UTR no. 528219202 dated 21.10.2022 and Rs. 60700/- (Rs. 5500 as NOC fee) vide UTR no. 962006380 dated 04.12.2022 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 21300/- (Including Rs. 2900 as NOC fee and Rs. 1000 as application form fee) Vide UTR no. N040211400953420 dated 09.02.2021, Rs. 12000/- vide UTR no. 858395877 dated 21.10.2022 and Rs. 55200/- vide UTR no. 824855728 dated 04.12.2022 under Air Act, 1981 which are adequate upto 30.09.2027.</span></h1>
<h1 style="margin-left: 0cm; line-height: 1; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-weight: normal; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span> </span>The industry was visited by EE alongwith AEE on 10.08.2022 and during visit it was observed that the industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of Valves and cocks. The industry has installed one induction furnace of capacity 0.500 TPH with bag filter house as APCD. During visit, pouring process was going on and lot of smoke was observed in the processing shed. The industry has submitted letter regarding air pollution control device (APCD) modification mentioning that they have received feasibility report for modification of APCD and the process of modification will take 03 months to complete. Further, in the feasibility report issued by PSCST, in which it was mentioned that, during the visit to the unit, it has been observed that the industry has installed canopy hood with Mechanical Shaker Bag Filter to control the suspended particulate emissions. The specifications like number of bags, bag size, duct size, ID fan etc, of existing APCD were checked to evaluate its adequacy. The bag filter was found to be in-adequate (49 bags each of 125 mm dia. and 1500 mm length) for filtration of requisite flue gas flow rate. Council has suggested to upgrade the existing Mechanical Shaker Bag Filter. The industry has also installed one shot blasting machine with bag filter house as APCD. The industry has not installed any D.G set inside its premises. The industry has submitted CLU from Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar vide letter no. 156/CLU/MTP dated 02.05.2016 to change of land use from residential to industrial purpose. The industry has submitted approved building plan from competent person under Factory Act. There is no source of generation of trade effluent. Domestic effluent is being discharged into sewer.</span></h1>
