As per the online detail and record file of the industry, it was granted consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2021/15815225 dated 04.10.2021 valid upto 31.03.2022 </span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">for Printing of cloth @ 1500 Kg/day, dyeing of cloth @ 5200 Kg/day & Finishing of cloth @ 14400 Kg/day with one boiler of 4 TPH, two thermopac of capacity 2000U and 1500U along with one DG set of capacity 450 KVA equipped with canopy subject to conditions mentioned therein</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black;">. </span></p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: windowtext; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">B)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="color: windowtext;">Now, the industry has applied for consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS </span>for Printing of cloth @ 1500 Kg/day, dyeing of cloth @ 5200 Kg/day & Finishing of cloth @ 14400 Kg/day with with one boiler of 4 TPH, two thermopac of capacity 2000U and 1500U along with one DG set of capacity 450 KVA equipped with canopy<span style="color: windowtext;">. </span></p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: windowtext; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">C)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->The industry has deposited Rs. 81,000/- vide online receipt no. <br />266349667 dated 25.11.2022 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.12.2023 after deduction of Rs. 18000/- as penalty under said act.</p>
<p class="Default" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; color: windowtext; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">D)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="color: windowtext;">Accordingly, the site of the industry was visited by office of this office on 24.11.2022, it was observed as under:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 58.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was in operation, during both the visits. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 58.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 4 TPH. Rice Husk was being used as fuel. Dust collector has been provided as APCD. The industry was found emitting black smoke at regular time intervals from its stack. The reason of black smoke can be due to excess feeding, some technical problem of boiler furnace or Ir-regular maintenance of the boiler furnace/ APCD. On 25.11.2022, again a video clip of 2.24 minutes of the industry has been received in this office, in which the industry is continuously emitting the black smoke. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 58.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has also installed two thermopacs of capacity 2000U and 1500U. Rice Husk/ Agro Waste/ Pet coke is used as fuel. Dust collector followed by alkali scrubber is provided as APCD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 58.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">During again visit to the area on 16.12.2022, the industry was again found emitting black smoke from its stack. Hence the unit is violating the provisions of Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">In view of above it is recommended that:- </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level2 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .55in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be refused and action under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be initiated against the industry, please.</span></p>
