The industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2021/14511258 dated 08.03.2021 valid upto 07.03.2022 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18881777 dated 13.06.2022 valid upto 12.12.2022 for Dyeing of Acrylic Yarn & Polyester Cloth @ 1200 Kg/day with discharge of trade effluent @ 150 KLD into sewer after ETP & domestic effluent @ 1.8 KLD into sewer with one wood fired boiler of capacity 1.6 TPH with cyclone separator along with adequate stack height and one DG set of 62 KVA with canopy along with adequate stack height. The directions u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 was issued to PSPCL authorities to restore the electricity supply of the industry upto 12.12.2022.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: .25in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">B)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for varied Consent to Operate under the Water Act & the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">for Dyeing of Acrylic Yarn & Polyester Cloth @ 1200 Kg/day with discharge of trade effluent @ 149 KLD & domestic effluent @ 1.80 KLD into conveyance system of CETP 50 MLD with one wood fired boiler of capacity 1.6 TPH and one DG set of 62 KVA with canopy</span>. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">C)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Yu Gothic';">The industry had deposited Rs. 11,550/- vide R.No. 688772626 dated 03.12.2020 under Water Act, 1974, which is now adequate upto 30.04.2024 after deduction of penalty & Rs. 9260/- (7000/- Air consent + 1400 NOC+ 360 Penalty + 500 form fee) vide UTR No. 000117568617 dated 17.11.2021 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate 30.06.2024.</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has now deposited Rs. 1400/- vide online receipt no. 895960793 dated 14.12.2022 as NOC regularization fee.</span></p>

However, the industry has granted 150 KLD shares on 22.07.2022 of CETP, hence the discharge of the industry is 70.8 KLD more than the share allotted to it. Hence only 01 cabinet of capacity 60 Kg was de-sealed on 17.10.2022 and remaining 02 cabinet machines of the industry i.e. one of 120 Kg & one of 60 Kg are already lying sealed due to excess discharge.</span></p>

The industry has provided the flow meter at its final outlet leading to CETP. The industry was also advised to provide the flow meter at inlet water supply.</span></p>

The stack emission samples were also collected by this office on 31.10.2022 & as per analysis report, results are within limit.</span></p>

Now, the industry has upgraded its APCD with wet scrubber and no black smoke was observed during last three visits i.e. 17.10.2022, 31.10.2022 & 16.12.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 45.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">8)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Yu Gothic'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Further, some units have made the complaint regarding in judicial allotment of the shares by the PDA, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana, which is under process at Board and at Govt. Level. </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 45.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l3 level1 lfo4;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; letter-spacing: -.05pt;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">(iii)<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Yu Gothic';">The industry shall stop discharging its effluent in case due to any reason the CETP is not operational or dedicated conveyance system is overflowing.</span></p>
