CTOA/Fresh/FGS/2018/7392906 dated 24/04/2018 valid upto 30/09/2022 for manufacturing of Frozen vegetables Patty & Tikki/ Frozen Vegetables @ 25,000 MTA and for discharge of Trade effluent qty 244 KLD and Domestic effluent qty 36 KL after treatment through ETP –cum-STP with certain conditions mentioned therein and special condition that the industry shall not increase production capacity and the wastewater generation for which the consent was earlier granted in the name of M/s Pagro Foods PVt. Ltd. Also, the industry shall develop adequate land with plantation for utilization of treated effluent within 3 months.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">Thereafter, the industry was granted </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">NOC for modernization of unit for the product frozen vegetables, vegetable patty and tikki @ 25000 MTA by using fresh vegetable @ 40000 MTA subject to the special condition that the NOC is valid for modernization of unit by installing new beans processing unit, chiller unit of capacity 2000 MT alongwith <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>secure compressor in its existing premises without any change in its production capacity. Also, the industry shall be bound to comply with the conditions of earlier granted CTOs valid upto 30/09/2022 and will not increase in its production capacity. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: PA;">Now, the Regional Office has reported that the industry has applied for renewal of CTOs for processing of </span><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Frozen Vegetables, Vegetables Patty & Tikki Frozen Vegetables @ 25,000 MTY by using Fresh Vegetables @ @ 60000 MT/year and it has recommended for grant of renewal of CTOs upto 30/09/2027 for discharge of TE @ 163 KL and DE @ 26 KL with certain conditions as proposed in the note of AEE.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is pertinent to mention here that Regional Office has not mentioned about the NOC granted to it for modernization of unit. Also, the industry needs to apply for varied CTOs.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Therefore, the case be returned to Regional Office with request to return the same to industry and applied varied CTOs under both the Acts. Also, Environmental Engineer be asked to explain its position for concealing the facts of the case as well as the measures taken by the industry to reduce the less generation of Trade/ domestic effluent, please.</span></p> |
