The industry was granted 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide. no. CTOW/Renewal/LDHKH/2021/16497411 dated 02/12/2021 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDHKH/2021/16497409 dated 02/12/2021 both valid upto 30/09/2022 for disposal of trade effluent @ 0.5 KLD via forced electric evaporation with special condition that: </span></p>

The industry has earlier deposited consent fee of Rs. 97,500/- vide UTR no. IDIBH21175111163 dated 24/06/2021 and Rs. 1800/- (penalty) vide Common Receipt no. 38/5342 dated 01/07/2021 as Water consent fee and Rs. 97,500/- vide UTR no. IDIBH21175111054 dated 24/06/2021 and Rs. 1800/- (penalty) vide Common Receipt no. 38/5342 dated 01/07/2021 as<span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"> air consent fee against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. 622.64 Lacs </span>as on 31/08/2022 as per CA certificate dated 13/09/2022, which is adequate upto <strong>30/09/2026</strong><span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1;"> under the Air</span><span style="color: black;"> Act as per Board's Office Order dated 29/10/2018 after deducting penalty charges 10 %</span>.</span></p>

The industry has procured letter issued by Chief Forest Officer to Forest Officer, Patiala according to which there is no need to obtain license to operate for core drying press.</span></p>

The industry has installed 1 no. kettle of 3 Ton capacity for making glue from phenol-formaldehyde (Maximum of the time these chemicals are used), urea-formaldehyde and melamine-urea-formaldehyde. This main kettle is located at the outside of the processing shed. The representative of the industry informed that glue is made by mixing the above chemicals and heat is provided through steam. The representative of the industry informed that both the glue kettles are washed twice a week and effluent is taken into a tank where it is evaporated through forced evaporation by means of steam coil. The effluent generated from 1 ton kettle is collected in the drums from and then disposed in to the evaporation tank. The industry has provided permanent pipeline from the glue kettle of 3 Ton capacity into evaporation tank. </span></p>
