| Clarification Note: |
The application of the industry for obtaining NOC expansion (consent to establish) under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 has been scrutinized and following observations have been made:
1. The total quantity of the raw material mentioned in the application form @ 38.19 MTD is not in consance with the total quantity of different concentrates produced @ 55.6 MTD.
2. The industry has mentioned the same quantity of fresh water as well as wastewater generation after the proposed expansion project to manufacture 5,20,000 WU as mentioned in the previous application form for manufacturing of 3,75,000 WU, which needs to be clarified.
3. The industry has not submitted technical feasibility report from the competent person/institute regarding the increase in different types of pollution loads and its control measurements due to the said expansion of project.
4. The industry has not submitted any undertaking regarding expansion in its existing land & building to increase its proposed production capacity.
5. The industry is required to submit point wise compliance of the special conditions of the consent earlier granted to the industry under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, specially regarding developing the process of vermicomposting to manage the biodegradable solid waste.
6. The industry is required to submit the latest effluent and emission sampling reports.
7. The industry has not submitted the record w.r.t water meter provided at the source of water supply.
8. The industry has not submitted the records regarding operation of ETP, chemicals being used, energy being consumed and sludge being generated and its maintenance record.
9. The industry has not submitted the record w.r.t. Electro Magnetic flow meter provided at the final outlet of the ETP.
As such, you are requested to clarify the aforesaid observations within 03 days, so as to proceed further in the matter. Till then, the application submitted by the industry shall be treated as incomplete.
