<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry has submitted compliance of the consent conditions. In pursuance of the direction by Hon’ble NGT dated 20/12/2019 Marriage Palace in the matter of O.A no. 400/2017 titled as Westend Green Society Vs. Union of India & Ors. CPCB has finalized and forwarded ‘Mechanism /Guidelines for Control of Pollution and Enforcement of Environment Norms at Individual Establishment and the Area /Cluster of Restaurants/ Hotel/ Motels/ Banquets etc. Accordingly, the Mechanism /Guidelines for Control of Pollution and Enforcement of Environment Norms at Individual Establishment and the Area /Cluster of Restaurants/ Hotel/ Motels/ Banquets etc. has been finalized by the Board. The marriage palace has submitted compliance of these guidelines </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">As directed, the industry was visited by the undersigned on 21/12/2021 and contacted Sh. Jaspal Singh, Prop. at the site. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">No function was in progress in the marriage palace. The representative of the marriage palace informed that the capacity of marriage palace is about 400-500 persons </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace has provided following treatment facility treatment of domestic effluent:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">a. For Toilets/Bathroom: Twin Compartment septic tank </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">b. For Kitchen: Oil and grease trap followed by septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The representative of the marriage palace informed that it has provided about 1 acre land under irrigation (owned by him) at the back side of the unit, 400 sqm plantation as per Karnal technology and 40 sqm of plantation along the boundary wall for disposal of treated effluent. The marriage palace being seasonal unit has adequate area for disposal of 10 KLD of treated domestic effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace generally uses LPG fuel in the kitchen for cooking. Exhausts vents have not been provided in the kitchen but the industry was guided to provide proper ducting/ hood arrangements for channeling fugitive emissions. The representative of the marriage palace informed that it shall install the ducting arrangements alongwith hoods within 01 month.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace has provided new honey comb compost pits for preparing manure from bio-degradable solid waste but has not made an agreement with any authorized recycler for disposal of for non-bio degradable solid waste.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace has completely stabilized the parking area by providing block tiles.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: .75in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Keeping above in view, if approved, the consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1984 may be renewed upto 30/09/2027 with suitable conditions and following additional conditions: -</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The project proponent shall provide exhausts vents in the kitchen with proper ducting/ hood arrangements for channeling fugitive emissions within 1 month and submit compliance</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall comply with the Mechanism/ guidelines prescribed by the Board vide officer order no. 64 dated 02/02/2021 in true letter & spirit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall not add any additional air polluting source without getting the prior written permission of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall make agreement with authorized recycler for disposal of non-bio-degradable solid waste and comply with the provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall ensure compliance to the comprehensive guidelines for the regulation of noise/sound pollution caused by use of loud speakers, public address system etc. issued vide Punjab Government, Deptt. of Science, Technology & Environment notification no. 3/100/2013-STP (4)/145 dated 26.2.2014.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall comply with the provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, 2000.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The marriage palace shall not allow to play the DJ/ music system outside the hall and not beyond 10.00 PM in any case in compliance to directions issued by the Board vide no. 196 Dated 30.04.2018.</span></p> |
