<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is submitted that the industry is a plywood unit and was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 & the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/MOG/2019/9374906 and CTOW/Varied/MOG/2019/9375573 dated 28.02.2019 for manufacturing of plywood @ 38 TPD with validity upto 30.09.2022, subject to the conditions mentioned therein. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Earlier, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 28.04.2022 and emission sample from the stack of boiler was collected during the visit. As per analysis report, the concentration of particulate matter is found to be 394 mg/NM<sup>3</sup> against the permissible limit of 500 mg/NM<sup>3</sup>.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consents under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS with same capacity. Details of the case are as under:</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 135%; mso-pagination: none; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-autospace: none; margin: 5.55pt 0in .0001pt .75in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has deposited consent fee of Rs. 30,000/- vide UTR / Ref. No. N333222223702260 dated 29.11.2022 under the Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 30,000/- vide UTR / Ref. No. N334222226269504 dated 30.11.2022 under the Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.07.2027 after imposing penalty of 10% of one year consent to operate fee. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Punjab Pollution Control Board in order to facilitate the industries vide office order no. 59 dt. 02.02.2016 has decided that renewal of consents to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 will be granted to the industries (Orange/Green Category- Small Scale) without visiting the unit within 7 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Further, it is intimated that the industry will be visited during tour to that area within two months to check the compliance under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 and report will be submitted accordingly. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Keeping in view of the above may if approved:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: 0in; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.0pt; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">Renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 for operation of the industry for manufacturing of plywood @ 38 TPD, subject to the suitable conditions please. </span></p> |
