<p class="MsoNormal">It is intimated the earlier, the industry was given personal hearing before SEE (ZP-1) on 20/9/2022, wherein, it was decided as under:</p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The industry shall apply consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents within 15-days through OCMMS. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: 6.0pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.5in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="mso-ascii-font-family: Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">The Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, SAS Nagar shall visit the site of the industry after 10-days to verify the progress made by the industry, to verify the compliances and to give comments/ recommendations with respect to the industry statement/ claim and </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-family: Tahoma;">shall process the consent applications to be applied by the industry on merits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The proceedings of hearing were also conveyed to the industry as well as R.O vide Board's letter no. 5986-87 dated 30/9/2022 (copy enclosed) for making compliance.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Now, the industry has applied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974. But the industry continuously violating the provisions of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">If approved, SCN for refusal of CTO applied under the Water Act, 1974 alongwith an opportunity to submit reply 7-days and R.O may be requested to give his comments on the reply to be submitted by the industry w.r.t notice and send fresh recommendations accordingly.</p> |
