<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the industry is a small scale orange category washing unit and the same was found operating without obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 during the visit on 09.07.2022. Accordingly the industry was issue notice u/s 33-A of Water Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and u/s 31-A of the Air Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer on 18.11.2022. Proceeding of the hearing is yet to be received.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 for the production of sweaters @ 900 num/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 40.0 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP and domestic effluent @ 0.8 KLD into sewer. The industry has deposited Rs. 75,300/- vide R. no. 583082775 dated 25.11.2022 under (Rs. 74,800/- Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Rs. 500/- as application form fee and Rs. 74,800/- vide R. no. 91681929 dated 25.11.2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which are adequate upto 30.06.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><em><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">It is intimated that the Board vide office order no. 394 dated 21.11.2022 has announced Voluntary Disclosure Scheme (VDS), as per which "Under the scheme the industries/institutes/other establishment have to deposit consent fee w.e.f. 01.11.2018 or from the date of the commissioning of the unit (whichever is later). In case the industry is operating before 01.11.2018, the industry shall deposit one time notional fee amounting to Rs. 5000/-." As per the scheme the consent fee submitted by the industry under both Acts is adequate upto 31.10.2024. </span></em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.5in; line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 10.12.2022<span style="color: red;"> </span>and observed that:-</span></p>

During the visit unit was in operation but washing process was not in operation.</span></p>
