The project proponent has applied fresh Consent to Operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974  and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Plastic Components for Tractors, Wahing Machine and Refrigerator @ 550 Kgs/day and  MS Parts for Tractors, washing machine and Refrigerator @ 900 Kgs/day under green category along with requisite documents. The project proponent has submitted CA Certificate with the value of fixed assets of Rs. 3.03 crore on 31.03.2022. The project proponent has deposited Rs. 16,800/- vide R no. 297397454 dated 20.12.2022 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 25,200/- vide R no. 762690774 dated 20.12.2022 under Air Act, 1981. The project proponent has submitted electricity bill as proof of date of commissioning, as per which date of commissioning date is 21.03.2018 The project proponent has submitted permission to sale industrial plot no. 429, phase IX (Expn), Focal point,Mohali for manufacturing of Refg. Parts, tractor parts, plastic parts, steel fabrication vide no. PSIEC/ESTATE/19756 dated 20.11.2019 approved by PSIEC. The project proponent has submitted manufacturing process as under: Virgin plastic Granules – heating in oven---Injection Moulding machine with die -- Plastic component ready -- Cutting -- Ready Product MS sheet Flats -- Die fix in Press -- Punch with Power press – Products – Finishing -- Final Products On scrutinizing the application following observations were observed on 21.12.2022 with request to submit reply within 2 days. 1.       The project proponent has not submitted partnership deed, proprietor sheep deed etc. 2.       The project proponent has not submitted approved building plan form competent person under Factory Act, 1948. 3.       The project proponent needs to deposit additional consent fees amounting to Rs. 81,666/- under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 64,866 under Air Act, 1981 to make it adequate till 31.12.2023. No reply received from the industry till date. The industry was visited by under-signed on 23.12.2022 and contacted Sh. Krishan Arora, Prop. (9814343167). During visit it was observed as under: 1)      The industry was in operation and is engaged in manufacturing of plastic and MS components of refrigerator, washing machine and tractors. The industry is using virgin granules in production. 2)      The industry has installed 8 injection moulding machines, 1 no. CNC machine, 10 no. power press, 8 no. taping machine, 2 no. grinding machines and 1 no. electricity fired oven. 3)      The industry has installed a DG set of 45 KVA with canopy and inadequate stack height. 4)      The industry is located in industrial area approved for setting up of such type of industries. <a name="_Hlk122878207"></a>5)      No trade effluent is generated from the process and the domestic effluent is disposed into MC sewer.   If approved, show-cause notice for refusal of CTO applied under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be issued to the industry as it has failed to reply to the clarification dated 21.12.2022.
