CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2019/10148913 dated 11/09/2019, which were valid up to dated 30/06/2024 for manufacturing of Ext. Berberis @ 20 Kgs/day, Yam Dry Ext. @ 40 Kgs/day, Strychnine @ 20 Kgs/day, Brucine @ 20 Kgs/day, Belladonna Dry Ext. @ 30 Kgs/day & Podophyllum Resin @ 40 Kgs/day by using Nux-Vomica Seed/Bark @ 100 Kgs/day, Belladonna Leaves/roots @ 100 Kgs/day, Alcohol @ 20 Liter/day, Berberis Root @ 200 Kgs/day, Dioscoria @ 50 Kgs/day, Podophyllum Roots @ 100 Kgs/day, Tolvene @ 20 Liter/day & Hexane @ 20 Liter/day as raw material, domestic effluent @ 0.4 KLD and using Rice Husk @ 1 TPD & Coal & 0.5 TPD in Boiler of capacity 3 TPH.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with compliance of the previous granted consents, emission analysis report, CA certificate and request letter.</span></p>

Berberis @ 20 Kgs/day, Yam Dry Ext. @ 40 Kgs/day, Strychnine @ 20 Kgs/day, Brucine @ 20 Kgs/day, Belladonna Dry Ext. @ 30 Kgs/day & Podophyllum Resin @ 40 Kgs/day by using Nux-Vomica Seed/Bark @ 100 Kgs/day, Belladonna Leaves/roots @ 100 Kgs/day, Alcohol @ 20 Liter/day, Berberis Root @ 200 Kgs/day, Dioscoria @ 50 Kgs/day, Podophyllum Roots @ 100 Kgs/day, Tolvene @ 20 Liter/day & Hexane @ 20 Liter/day as raw material</span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> as observed at the time of visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed Boiler of capacity @ 3 TPH in which using Rice Husk @ 1 TPD & Coal & 0.5 TPD was being used as told by the representative.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed a D.G. set of capacity 125 KVA, which is fitted with canopy.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is discharging its domestic effluent into sewer and there is no source of trade effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-left: 0.75in; text-indent: -0.25in;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">During visit, the emission sample of the industry was also collected and sent to Zonal Lab, Jalandhar for analysis. As per analysis report received from Zonal Lab, Jalandhar vide no. 3132-34 dated 18/11/2022, the concentration of SPMs were found within the limits as prescribed by the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.</span> <span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry falls in Red category in the small scale sector. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';"> RO has recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">In view of above, if approved </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 16px;">the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 30/06/2027 with suitable terms & conditions.</span></p>
