<p style="text-align: justify;">The agenda note and report / recommendations of AEE/EE, RO, may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is small scale red category dyeing unit and was granted consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 both valid upto 30.06.2022 for trade effluent @ 250 KLD into sewer after ETP. Now, applied for discharge into CETP 50 MLD.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has installed machinery for 470 KLD and applying for consent for discharge of effluent @ 380 KLD after trading. As there are already several complaints regarding in judicial allotment and trading of the shares by the PDA, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana, which is under process at Board and at Govt. Level. The matter is also under verification before the Vigilance Bureau Punjab.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, it is recommended as under:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be issued to seal the machinery of the industry to limit its discharge to 380 KLD from 470 KLD.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The present applications under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 of the industry be refused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. Separate hearing u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be given to the industry. </p>
