<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;">It is submitted that earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. ASR/RO/APC/F-31 dated 29/05/2012, which was valid up to 28/11/2012 & further extended vide letter no. 3120 dated 26/03/2013, which is valid up to 31/12/2022. The industry was also granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. ASR/RO/WPC/F-21 dated 29/05/2012, which was valid up to 23/11/2012 & further extended vide letter no. 3122 dated 26/03/2013, which is valid up to 31/12/2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 along with Compliance of the previous granted consents under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981, site plan, location plan, approved map, letter issued by Director of Factories, Punjab vide no. DOF/Amritsar/C-82/3421 dated 04/04/2012 & request letter etc. The industry has submitted a copy of letter issued by STP, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar vide Memo No. STP(A)/CLU-1/ 1150 dtd 16/11/2010, vide which the permission for change of land use was granted to the industry for Ice Factory purpose.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has deposited Rs. Rs. 14,500/- online vide UTR/Ref. No. N339222232883964 dated 05/12/2022 under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Rs. 14,500/- online vide UTR/Ref. No. N339222232901584 dated 05/12/2022 under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, to make the fee adequate up to 31/12/2027. The industry has also deposited Rs. 500/- vide UTR/Ref. No. N339222232906622 dated 05/12/2022 as an application form.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is pertinent to mention here that Board issued order vide no. CEE(HQ)F.No. 957/2016/59 dated 2/2/2016 regarding to grant of auto renewal consent to establish/consent to operate to the Orange & Green category industries.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further intimated that the industry is complying with the conditions of consents granted earlier under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981. The industry falls in Green category in small-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Environmental Engineer of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: .5in;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; background: white;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry up to 31/12/2027 with suitable terms & conditions and special condition that the industry shall not discharge fugitive emissions/trade effluent from its premises.</span></p> |
