<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Comments: Earlier, the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 21.12.2018 and observed that the industry was operating without consent to operate of the Board in the name and style of M/s Anand Electroplating and trade effluent generated from the electroplating process was being discharged into sewer directly. The report was sent to the Competent Authority of the Board. Accordingly, the industry was issued notice to issue directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>as amended in 1988 alongwith personal hearing on 24.04.2019 held before Hon’ble Chairman of PPCB at Head Office, Patiala and it was decided that the industry shall not operate the unit without prior permission of the Board.</span></p>

Industries and engaged in the process of electroplating by using Zn, Caustic, Sulphuric Acid/HCl as raw material.</span></p>

Ltd. Focal Point, Ludhiana for lifting its trade effluent generated from electroplating process and treating in CETP located at Focal Point Ludhiana @ 3000 Litre/month.</span></p>

The industry has installed underground plastic tank of 2000 litre effluent storage capacity and appx. 700 litre effluent was remained in the tank during visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 150%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The industry is not maintaining any record of fresh water consumption viz-a-viz trade effluent got lifted by CETP operator. The industry has got lifted only 5200 litre quantity of its trade effluent generated from electroplating process from June, 22 to 13 Dec, 22 against agreement with CETP operator @ 3000 litre per month. </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with requisite documents i.e. Approved building plan, rent deed, CA certificate regarding gross block value of fixed assets, Manufacturing process etc. The industry has submitted Udyam Registration Certificate as date of commencement proof and date of commencement mentioned is 20.05.2019 while the industry was earlier visited by this office on 21.12.2018 and the industry was in operation without consent to operate of the Board. The industry is not complying with the directions u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 vide Board’s letter no. 3507-08 dated 02.07.2019.</span></p>
