The industry was granted registration certificate as producer under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 vide no. REG/Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016/Fresh/EPA/LDH/2020/F-32 dated 03.12.2020 which has been expired on 02.12.2021.
Thereafter, as per EPR guidelines, CPCB has developed the centralized portal for registration of producer, importers and brand owners and Plastic waste processors that was launched on 05.04.2022. The portal is available at https://eprplastic.cpcb.gov.in/plastic/;
The CPCB has also directed to incorporate the EPR registration detail in the consent to operate to be granted to the industry. However, the industry has not submitted any detail regarding its registration on the above said centralized portal.
You are therefore requested to submit the detail regarding EPR registration, immediately to this office through your reply so that your application can be decided further.
