<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was earlier granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2019/9298317 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2019/9298299 dated 31.01.2019 for discharge of domestic effluent @ 2 KLD into the sewer which are valid upto 31.12.2022 subject to suitable conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry has now applied for renewal of' Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 along with requisite documents and fees under green category.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">The industry was visited by undersigned on 27/12/2022 and observed that the industry is engaged in manufacturing of hosiery goods and there is no source of air pollution/water pollution. The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height. The domestic effluent generating from the industry is being discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-indent: 2cm; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">In view of above, if approved, Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for short term i.e. upto 30/06/2023 subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-indent: -18pt; text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span lang="EN-US">The industry will obtain Registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 from PPCB under intimation to the Regional office of the Board.</span></p>
