<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">Earlier, the unit was granted consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2020/12967214 dated 08/09/2020 up to 30/06/2022, further extended vide no. CTOA/Renewal/ASR/2022/18849049 dated 05/08/2022, valid up to 31/03/2023. The unit was also granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2020/12968820 dated 08/09/2020 up to 30/06/2022, further extended vide no. CTOW/Renewal/ASR/2022/18880318 dated 05/08/2022, valid up to 31/12/2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>Now, the unit has applied for renewal consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 with CA Certificate and request letter to grant the extension to the project.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>The unit was visited by officer of this office on 30/12/2022 and observed as under:- </span></p>

W.S.S.S/1586 Dated 25.01.2008 for discharge of sewer into MC sewer line and the same will be further treat by installed STP of Municipal Corporation of Amritsar.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 54.8pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">While last consent, the project proponent requested that the shops have not been occupied by the retailers yet, but an outlet namely Pizza Hut was in operation as observed during visit on 09/06/2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: normal; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in .0001pt 54.8pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';">The project proponent told that the STP cannot be put into operation till there is 40% occupancy in the Mall.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further submitted that the unit is complying with conditions of the consents granted under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span>It is further intimated that the unit falls in Red category in the large-scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with Hon’ble Chairman of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif';"><span style="mso-tab-count: 1;"> </span><span style="mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that t</span>he consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 applied by the unit may be granted for one year.</span></p> |
