File Note: <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Kindly peruse the agenda note and recommendations given by E.E, Regional Office.&nbsp; The workshop was not installed the STP then untreated wastewater generated from the process was being discharged into the sewer.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Accordingly,&nbsp; directions u/s 33 A under the Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 were issued vide Board's letter no. 4290&nbsp; dated 15/7/22&nbsp; to seal the wet process (washing) and other activities involved in its premises installed by the industry as untreated wastewater was being discharged into the sewer.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Now the workshop has applied the CTO under the Water Act, of 1974, and Air Act, of 1981&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">R.O. has reported that the industry was earlier visited by AEE of the Regional Office on 18/11/2022 to seal the wet process and observed that the service station was closed. The industry was again visited on 01.12.2022 and contacted Sh. Rajan Bansal, Director. The Director of the Company doesn't allow to seal of the wet process.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Therefore, the Board has issued directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention &amp; Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 letter no. 7036-37&nbsp; dated 23/12/2022alongwith PSPCL authorities directed to disconnect the electricity connection vide Board's letter no. 7040-43&nbsp; dated 23/12/2022.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The workshop has applied the CTO under the Water Act, o 1974 and the Air Act, of 1981.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"> Now, R.O. has reported that the P.P. has installed ETP for the treatment of wastewater and it has made compliance with previous shortcomings, PSPCL has not disconnected the electric connection.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">If approved, the following action may be taken:</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">1)<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>CTO under Water Act,1974&nbsp; may be granted to the industry for six months.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">2)<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>Amended directions u/s 33-A&nbsp; water Act,1974 may be issued to PSPCL authorities not to disconnect the electric supply available to the workshop.&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">3)<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span>E.E., Regional Office shall visit the site within two months to monitor the workshop to pollution control device installed by the industry, verify the mode of disposal and verify the compliance with the Environment Laws and send the report with recommendations thereafter.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">( Competency: Chairman Sir )</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>
