<p class="Style" style="text-align: justify; margin: 0in .7pt .0001pt .25in;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;">It is submitted that the industry had informed this office </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">vide letter dated nil<span style="color: black; mso-themecolor: text1; background: white;"> that it had rectified the observations made during visit on 15.12.2022 and requested to grant the </span>Consent to Operate. Accordingly, the unit was revisited on 26.12.2022 during visit to the area and observed as under: </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 106%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 8.0pt 49.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry has provided one no. melting furnace with casting machine for production of casted zinc product from raw zinc in its premises and same is equipped with bag filter as APCD and stack of adequate height. Further, the industry has informed that other two no. such furnaces have already been procured but their delivery is taking time due to certain issues. As per the feasibility submitted by the industry at the time of obtaining NOC, the bag filter house provided will be able to cater the 3 no. furnaces and submitted completion certificate from M/s Evapo Tech Services, Patiala in this regard. However, the industry has yet to get the adequacy assessment report of APCD from PSCST Chandigarh. </span></p>

The industry has submitted that at the time of NOC, it has inadvertently mentioned 3 no. alkali scrubbers with electroplating bath. The industry has submitted completion certificate of APCD from M/s Evapo Tech Services, Patiala.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 106%; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 8.0pt 49.5pt;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The ETP installed by the industry was in operation and the treated effluent after ETP is being sent to RO plant for further treatment through PVC pipe. The treated effluent is entirely being reused in the process. Further, the RO reject is being discharged into the ETP for treatment. </span></p>

D.G. set of 500 KVA capacity equipped with canopy and adequate stack height.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry is complying with the provisions of </span><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">In view of above, it is recommended that that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2024 to the industry for manufacturing of Zinc Handles @ 70000 No./Day by using Zinc @ 5 MT/Day under red category with suitable conditions and special conditions as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">1.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall get the adequacy assessment report of APCD from PSCST Chandigarh and submit the same in this office within 3 months.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall maintain the record w.r.t. fresh water consumption, wastewater generation and effluent reused back in the process. </span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall intimate the Board after the installation of pending machinery i.e. two no. melting furnace with casting machine for production of casted zinc product.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif;">The industry shall submit sampling report of trade effluent and stack in this office within 3 months. </span></p> |
