<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">t is intimated that the industry is a small-scale orange category forging unit and was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/FGS/2020/13528577 dated 02/10/2020 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/FGS/2020/13528514, both valid upto 30/09/2022 with suitable conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and varied consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 as it has shifted its fuel from coal to PNG in Box type furnace in the existing premises and the production details are the same.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has deposited of Rs. 42840/- vide R. No. 158433671 dated 02/12/2022 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 44640/- vide R no. 451090298 dated 02/12/2022 under the Air Act, 1981 including penalty fee and also including Rs.1800/- NOC regularization fee with common R. No. 451090298 dated 02/12/2022, against the un-depreciated fixed assets of Rs. <span style="color: #0d0d0d;">170.06 </span>lakhs as on 31/10/2022 CA Certificate dated 04/11/2022, which is adequate upto 30/09/2027 under the said acts, separately.<strong> </strong>The industry has submitted letter w.r.t increase in the cost of fixed assets and have submitted that they have replaced some machinery (Old Hammer cylinder, 20 KVA Gen. set, electronic weigh scale, burner system and other assembly and Lathe and Boring machine which has resulted in the increase in the cost by Rs.20.64 lakhs in fixed assets.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has submitted stack emission sample report carried out by the M/s SIMA LABS, Ludhiana (NABL approved) on 22/11/2022. As per the analysis report, the concentration of SPM is 295mg/Nm3 in the stack attached to the boiler of capacity 4 TPH, which is within permissible limits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">To verify the contents of the application, the industry was visited by undersigned of this office on 28/12/2022 and contacted Sh. </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; color: #0d0d0d;">Simranjeet Singh Partner</span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; color: red;"> </span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">at site. During visit, it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was in operation. The industry has installed 1 no. hammer attached to power press of 2 Ton capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed wood fired boiler of capacity 4 T/hr. alongwith stack, which was in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry is having 2 no. box type heating furnaces of 15 ton each ( One kept as standby), in which PNG is being used as fuel.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has installed one no. D.G. set of capacity 125 KVA capacity without canopy (kept in room), and 65 KVA equipped with canopy but without stack. The representative of the industry informed that DG set of 65 KVA is not in use.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">No water is being used in the process, therefore, there is no generation of any trade effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">There is generation of domestic effluent, which is being treated through septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has not paved the road for movement of vehicles inside the unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry was advised to plant trees along the boundary wall wherever empty space available .</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">9.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has provided 2 no. submersible pumps which were without flow-meter.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -0.5in;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">10.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry has provided underground pucca tank for the collection of oil bearing waste from steam condensate. As per the record file earlier the oil and grease from condensate was used on coal and wood for ignition purposes after recovering it from the top manually and the bottom water was being used for sprinkling within the premises. Since, now the industry is not using coal as fuel, the industry is required to collect the same and give it to authorized hazardous waste recycler.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1in; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">In view of above-mentioned facts, if approved, Senior Environmental Engineer Zonal Office – II, Patiala may be recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be renewed upto 30/09/2027 and varied consent to operate under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30/09/2023 to manufacture Forged Roll/Gear Shifts, Agricultural Implements & Alloys Steel Forgings @12 MTD with suitable conditions and following special conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">1.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall provide canopy on DG set of capacity 125 KVA and stack on 65 KVA capacity, within one month and submit compliance.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall comply with PWRDA guidelines.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall pave the road for movement of vehicles within two months</span> <span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">and submit compliance.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall provide flow-meters on the submersible pumps within 07 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall plant trees all along the boundary wall wherever empty space is available.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall not generate and discharge any kind of trade effluent.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall collect, store and dispose of off the oil-bearing waste from the steam condensate to authorized hazardous waste recycler.</span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast" style="margin-left: 1.25in; text-indent: -0.25in; line-height: 24px;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif';">The industry shall obtain authorization from the Board under the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management, and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016 within one month.</span></p> |
