<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">The industry has obtained renewal of Forest License from DFO, Ludhiana vide no. 52 dated 06.12.2022 valid upto 05.12.2027. But, despite multiple requests, the industry has neither signed agreement with TSDF Nimbuan for disposal of sludge nor it has submitted any quantification of wastewater generated from washing of glue kettles. Presently, the industry has 100 Kg sludge storage generated after forced evaporation of effluent. As per Sh. Anmol Juneja, the industry is required to wash the glue kettles after every 2-3 weeks. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif';">It is therefore recommended that the 'consent to operate' under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused and action against the industry u/s 33-A of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be initiated and 'consent to operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted <strong>upto 30.09.2025. </strong></span></p> |
